In the literary festival at Naantali, publisher Anna-Riikka Carlson interviewed Veera Ikonen and Hanna Meretoja.

Elotulet book launch, 14 June 2022
Elotulet was launched at the Turku City Library. Anna-Riikka Carlson interviewed the author. The event included music performances by Jaska Poikonen, Sanna Rihu and Eliel Meretoja. Jouni Teittinen and Matilda Kirvelä read their poems, and Koko Hubara, Eevastiina Kinnunen, Matilda Kirvelä, Päivi Kosonen, Pinja Meretoja, Sanna Rihu, Astrid Swan, Jouni Teittinen and Mari Verho said a few words on their reading experience. The party continued in the restaurant Tiirikkala with music performances by Astrid Swan and Alma Meretoja.
Bonfire Lecture / Nuotioluento, 14 July 2022
Hanna Meretoja gave a bonfire lecture at the Volter Kilpi literature festival in Kustavi, in the archipelago of Turku. She talked about the process of writing the novel, the significance of sea in the novel, and the power of literature.

Turku Book Fair, October 2022
On 1 October, Anna-Riikka Carlson interviewed Hanna Meretoja about Elotulet on the stage Kuisti. Afterwards she signed books at the stand of Turun Kansallinen Kirjakauppa. On 2 October, Riitta Monto interviewed Meretoja about narratives of hope and despair on the stage Fiore. See the recording of the first interview.
